About the Journal
JSEP (Journal of Social and Agricultural Economics) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of agricultural economics, agribusiness, and rural socio-economic studies. In line with its name, JSEP aims to serve as a scholarly platform that connects researchers, practitioners, and policymakers by delivering scientific insights that support sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agricultural and food systems.
JSEP focuses on issues that are particularly relevant to developing countries, emphasizing the interconnections between economic efficiency, social equity, and institutional sustainability within agricultural and rural development contexts. The journal encourages research that integrates local resources, regional uniqueness, and indigenous knowledge while applying robust theoretical frameworks and empirical methodologies.
